A year earlier, consumers in the Seattle area paid 18.1 percent more than the national average for a gallon of gasoline. (Data in this release are not seasonally adjusted accordingly, over-the-year-analysis is used throughout.)Īt $5.675 a gallon, Seattle area consumers paid 10.2 percent more than the $5.149 national average in June 2022. The average cost of utility (piped) gas at $1.261 per therm in June was more than the $1.186 per therm spent last year.
